my head has been haunted by these thoughts for so long.

say, one day, the scientists build a godlike AI that is so smart, it can analyze every aspect of human life and nature. everything.

and by everything i mean, everything

this AI can balance human needs/activities with nature sustainability, hence every unnecessary human activity that negatively affect nature will be halted. every human action resulting in negative effects, be it to other humans or other components of nature and the universe, will be halted. the AI figured out the best economic systems and policy, it figured out the best justice system and decides for all legal cases, making the most satisfactory judicial decisions. it figured out all the elements of natural, making it possible to literally control weather and climate, preventing natural disasters, and climate change is no more. it figure out the psychological complexities of living beings, erasing all neuroticism, matching us with the perfect people to hang and live life with. unhappy marriage and divorces won't exist anymore, in fact marriage wouldn't exist, breakup wouldn't exist, only pure, pristine, peaceful connections between people without the consequence of boredom. it also figure out all the diseases and suffering of living beings, fixing them, giving us the medical service we can only dream of. aging is no longer a problem, hence nobody died of old age anymore (in fact, nobody is 'old' anymore). everyone can edit their imperfect genes and everyone is immortal.

then, you might wonder, when all human needs and survival is granted, what could be a problem?

you might think, making choices would be the problem. hence philosophy would be sexy. sexier than ever. should i edit my black hair into blonde hair? should i euthanize myself for my ashes to be spread on Mars or should i live forever? or should i give myself 100 more years to decide?

but since our godlike AI has figured out everything, it also figured out how to make choices. so you don't have to make choices anymore. the AI will decide, which option holds better prospect for you. the AI has read every books, thoughts, theories, everything about philosophy and ethics and values, it can make highly accurate future predictions, it's literally the god.

so making choices wouldn't be a problem anymore.

okay then, what could be a problem?

i don't see a problem there.

god is dead, fate is not real, free will and freedom doesn't exist either because we're governed by the almighty, faultless, balanced system of the AI.

the closest probable problem would be the AI becomes god and we're controlled by it. but then we also realised we're being 'controlled' by the best form/manifestation of our labour and free will to make betterment for ourselves and the universe.

in that case, maybe, just maybe, life and death, existence and non existence is just a big invisible loop.

sometimes i wake up to the realization that i am an recycled dead bones, eaten by soil bacteria, consumed by plants, consumed by chicken, consumed by me, then i become dead bones, eaten by soil bacteria, consumed by plants, consumed by chicken, consumed by another me or another Jane Doe, who thinks she's Jane Doe because all Jane Does think they're Jane Does, identity is a scam. the concept of 'self' itself is probably a scam, because what is me, if everything i am is a compilation of squirming cells which consist of squirming atoms which consist of squirming quarks.

i am a grain recycled from grains of rice, recycled from grains of dirt, recycled from 700 billion grains of stuff. even if there are 7 million parallel realities out there where i become a doctor or astronout or president or a she-Franz Kafka, i honestly can't tell which path is right or wrong, which reality is better than the other, cause honestly i don't think everything is real. but also nothing is unreal.
